Honey

Does honey expire?
No, pure raw honey never truly expires. Over time, it may crystallize, which is a natural process and a sign of quality. To return it to liquid form, simply place the jar in a bowl of warm water.

Why is my honey crystallized?
Crystallization happens when the natural sugars in honey form crystals. It's completely normal and safe to eat. Some people even prefer crystallized honey for spreading on toast!

What's the difference between creamed and crystallized honey?
Both are natural. Crystallized honey occurs on its own over time. Creamed honey is intentionally whipped to control the crystal size, giving it a smooth, spreadable texture.

Why choose local honey?
Choosing our honey supports local beekeeping and keeps your purchase close to home in Simcoe County.

Is your honey local?
Yes! All of our honey is sourced locally within Simcoe County, Ontario. Our own hives are in Tiny, Ontario, but not all of our honey comes from our hives. We also source honey from other local beekeepers.

How does your raw honey compare with pasteurized or filtered honey?
We sometimes gently warm our honey to infuse flavours and maintain consistency, but never to pasteurization temperatures. Our honey is not pasteurized; that does not mean it has never been warmed.

Heating and filtration are different processing steps: pasteurization involves heat treatment, while filtration removes particles. The word "raw" alone does not tell you how finely honey has been filtered or establish its pollen content.

What does "raw" not prove?
On its own, "raw" does not prove where honey comes from, that it is organic, or that it offers health benefits. Our local sourcing claim is specific: all of our honey comes from Simcoe County, including our own hives in Tiny.

Candles

Do your candles have fragrance?
No added fragrance — just the natural, subtle honey aroma from pure beeswax.

How long do beeswax candles burn?
Beeswax candles typically burn longer than other types of candles. Burn time varies depending on size and style, but they generally burn clean and slow.

Do beeswax candles drip?
Pure beeswax candles are naturally drip-resistant when burned properly (keeping the wick trimmed and burning long enough for the wax pool to reach the edges).

Do beeswax candles clean the air?
Yes! Beeswax releases negative ions when burned, which can help neutralize pollutants and support a fresher atmosphere in your home.

Do you accept returns?

• Honey: Due to food safety, honey cannot be returned.

• Candles: If your candle arrives broken or damaged, please contact us within 7 days for a replacement or refund.

• Other products: Contact us within 14 days for assistance.

How long will my order take?
Orders are typically processed within 3 business days. Some items may take longer as they are hand-made or made-to-order depending on stock.
